Perlite is an acidic volcanic glass. It is a rock that has thermal expansion property and becomes very light and porous when expanded. It has a density of 2000 - 2100 kg / m3 as raw, and as crushed and screened, can be produced with a density of between 2200-2400 kg / m3 and 180 kg / m3.
