AGRICULTURAL PERLITE
It is a lightweight non-radioactive material that is widely used as a soil conditioner in greenhouse cultivation, vegetable cultivation, seedling, floriculture, mushroom, and soilless agriculture environments.
Since there is a large amount of air space in the perlite material, it keeps aeration and water permeability in the soil at a high rate. It keeps the soil warming at the appropriate temperature.
It does not carry or harbor disease. It does not cause any problems in terms of salt and alkalinity due to the low level of soluble ions. With its neutral (pH = 6.5-7.5) and low chemical buffering, it easily regulates the pH of the environment.
It does not show any of the features such as ponding, swelling, crust formation, poor drainage, cracking.
FEATURES
Thanks to its total porosity above 90% and ventilation porosity of around 60%, it provides aeration of the soil, regulates its drainage, increases infiltration, and reduces evaporation. Since it is inorganic, it does not carry weed seeds and diseases.
It does not cause any problems in terms of salinity and alkalinity due to the scarcity of soluble ions, it regulates the environment pH easily with its neutral (pH = 6.5-7.5) and low chemical buffering.
Since its thermal conductivity is low, it minimizes the damage to the plant from daily temperature changes, plant roots are not affected by air change.
